WAICY proudly announces its first summer event in Europe!

The World Artificial Intelligence Competition for Youth (WAICY) is the largest and longest-standing “Make-a-thon” where the world’s brilliant young minds congregate to tackle real challenges through AI innovations. Since its inception in 2018, WAICY has ceaselessly empowered over 310k students spanning almost 120 countries across the globe.
WAICY forges a transnational platform for students to develop their skills, connect with peers, and contribute to the ever-evolving field of AI. Whether through coding, robotics, or digital storytelling, WAICY is the incubator of tomorrow’s AI leaders, committed to education, collaboration, and the future of technology.

While the main program unfolds on stage, a parallel track will take place:
- Student teams will present AI projects to a panel of international judges.
- Projects will be judged based on originality, social relevance, AI complexity, and ethical thinking.
- Age groups will be divided into three categories (elementary, middle, and high school).
- Judges include educators, researchers, and industry experts.
Student presentations will be live-streamed to screens in the main auditorium.

WAICY encourages teachers of all backgrounds and disciplines to lead student teams. From novices curious about AI integration to seasoned instructors of AI technologies, WAICY offers comprehensive guidance and user-friendly toolkits to facilitate hands-on coaching sessions. By the end of this rigorous yet rewarding training program, teachers will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and competencies in AI and machine learning, bringing various students’ projects to the spotlight.
